Functional Storage Bins

These mobile storage bins are multi functional. Of course we use them for storage but they are also used for seating.
*Project Steps:
I found cubbies (5) on sale and put them together. I covered plywood with fabric and added wheels to attach to the bottom. Another piece of plywood was attached to sponge and fabric to form a lid to sit on. The lids are removable so we can take them to the fireplace or simply turn them over to act as a table. I used multi colored fabric for fun.
Advice:
I looked in stores for something similar. I found that I could make them for a lot less and exactly the way I wanted them. I love that they are separate to stay organized.
Materials:
5 Wooden Cubbies - $0.00
20 Wheels - $0.00
Plywood - $0.00
Fabric - $0.00
Sponge - $0.00

Could you put a piano hinge on the lid so it would be attached? I think my wife would like those in our playroom.

I live in a small apartment, with not a lot of seating or storage and I do a lot of crafts using yarn. This would be perfect for me as I can store all my yarn away when I'm not using it and still have plenty of seating for guests, Great idea! Thanks for sharing! :)
