Install laundry Room Cabinets

Put together cabinets and a bar to hang clothes above washer and dryer.
Advice:
Do have help holding the cabinet.
Don't be intimidated, it's an easy project.
Do have a variable speed cordless drill.
Easy project that only takes a few hours. The cabinets need to be put together with some glue, follow the directions that comes with kit.
To hang the cabinets, I nailed a 2"x4" scrap wood under the cabinet to help hold the cabinet up on the wall while installing and to make sure cabinet was level. Find the wall studs with a stud finder and mark the wall. Make sure the wood is level and nail into the wall studs. Have a friend help left up the cabinet onto the wood strip and hold while drilling the screws into the wall studs. I used a little heavier screw than the ones they give you in the kit. The wood insures the cabinets will be level after installation.
Next, to install a bar to hang clothes, I used a couple of scrap pieces of 1"x6"x18" wood and drilled a hole in the center big enough for the metal bar you can get at any home improvement store. Measure with a hanger the distance from the wall so that your clothes will not touch. Measure the bar from wall to wall and cut with a haxsaw. Nail one side of the wood into a stud if possible. Take the bar and the other piece of wood and place it onto the wall and nail in place. Cover the nail heads with some putty, let dry, sand smooth and paint the same color as the wall.

I nailed a 2x4 under the cabinet to make sure it was level and to help hold the cabinet in place while I screwed it to the wall.

This looks great. You can also nail in a 2X4 above cabinets to make sure they are level, then remove it. You will never see those holes up above a cabinet.
