re-painting apt b4 leaving

I have to repaint my apt as I am moving out, but the landlord has been your typical NY slumlord, so trying to get advise of how I can paint the apt, but not.

what is a cheap whitewash/paint to use just so that apt looks painted, but trying to spend as little $$ as I can?

I prefer the painting it a horrible brown/ green puke color personaly.
