Transformation of children's nursery

Took a spare bedroom with no wall treatments (old paint) and transformed it into a work of art and a special place for my daughter!)
*Options I considered for this project:
Borders- wall paper-paint with one accent wall.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
We used stencils but I wanted to add my own special touches and this was welcomed by the contractors. I learned a lot about priming, the right pigments for murals, the use of stencils and over-glazes to finish off the work.
* Cost Comments:
The artist was paid $500.00. The materials costs were $400.00
*My motivation to do this project:
I never had my own room as a child and I wanted something extra special for my girl.
*Project Steps:
Work with stencils to customize, size and add draw up a basic room schematic.
Prime the walls.
Add the first coat of paint.
Do the custom work and stenciling.
Apply special after coatings
Advice:
DOn't rush! This takes time.
Buy the best quality rollers and brushes as well as paints and pigments possible. When you are literally showcasing art on a wall itself, people are far more scrutinizing. Little things like ragged corners to ceilings, etc. are amplified.
Materials:
Stencils and custom paints - $0.00
window detailing
