The fabric, trim and tassles came from Hobby Lobby and was 50% off. The piece of a 2x4 was a free sc
*My motivation to do this project:
To add visual interest and privacy.
*Project Steps:
1. MEASURE WINDOW
2. PURCHASE FABRIC/TRIM/LUMBER/L-BRACKETS
3. CUT WOOD TO FIT
4. ATTACH VALANCE TO WOOD WITH STAPLE GUN
5. USE PUSH PINS TO ATTACH PANELS TO TOP OF WINDOW FRAME
6. ATTACH L-BRACKETS TO
7. ATTACH VALANCE TO WALL
8. USE PUSHPINS TO SECURE TIE-BACKS
Advice:
DO: Use push pins instead of a curtain rod for the panels. Even if you open and close the curtain, they will remain secure andthey can not be seen, even from underneath. Just be sure to slightly overlap the two pieces of fabric and secure with one tack.
DO: Use hot glue to attach beaded trim to valance.
