*Options I considered for this project:

Mainly just a creative project to add some color to my daughter's room

* Cost Comments:

paint -$40; supplies $15

*My motivation to do this project:

Redecorate my daughter's room

*Project Steps:

Created design I wanted to use for candy stripes

Selected colors for paint (three colors of pink) ...»

Measured entire room - stripes where going on lower chair rail of wall

Determined the width of each section and strip in order to have even flow of sections and stipes

measure and penciled marked wall for each section

Day 1- Using blue painters tape - taped-off first sections - light pink

Painted all light pink sections and let dry for a day

Day 2 - Using blue painters tape - taped-off first sections - 2nd darkest pink

Painted all light pink sections and let dry for a day

Day 3 - tapped off the candy strips (about 1/4 each wide) for the darkest pink color;

Painted dark pink areas and let dry for a day

Day 4 - touch up and clean up

Advice:

Do's

Make sure you have plenty of ventilation for any paint project.

    You ever notice how your home becomes the Go-to slumber party house after you've taken the time/effort to paint the kids rooms?!
