Guest Bathroom Renovation

Guest bathroom renovation.
*Options I considered for this project:
Tile, granite countertops, paint color, hardware, lighting and other small things.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
The bathroom vanity was designed to have the plumbing lines come out of the wall. Our plumbing lines came from the floor.
*My motivation to do this project:
We had a small plumbing issue turn into a larger problem that led to a full renovation of the bathroom. I learned my lesson though. Never ask one of the Home Depot employees for advice. They are not skilled professionals. They may try to come off as know-it-alls but all they are at the end of the day is a sales associate.
*Project Steps:
I had to cut holes in the base of the vanity to allow the pipes through.
Advice:
Don't ask Home Depot associates for anything except where an item may be located in the store.
Materials:
Tile - $60.00
Tile Saw - $80.00
Grout Cutter - $4.00
Tile Separators - $3.00
Mortar - $12.00
Hardie Backerboard - $36.00
Vanity - $268.00
Mirror - $109.00
Granite Top with Sink - $229.00
Sink Hardware - $82.00
Tile Sealer - $12.00
Lighting - $100.00
New Trim Boards - $2.00
Demolition!
Had to remove that mirror. Trick: use a guitar string as a saw behind the mirror.
More Demolition!
Patched hole in the floor and primer on the walls.
Layed the hardie backerboard
planned out the tile
Layed the tile
installed vanity
re-installed toilet.
Hung mirror and added light fixture. All Done!

Granite countertop on legs to keep the space open for storage under ( towels, shampoo, soaps etc). Modern glass sink above counter or undermount for nice clean lines...this way you do not have to match your bathtub. Keep colours light on counter if preferred paint colour dark and vice versa to make a statement
