Restored front shutters, posts, steps and door

We restored the front shutters, posts, steps, and door.
*Options I considered for this project:
Had to find a solution for the black mold forming and the steps' solid stain chipping.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
Didn't really understand that there are even grades of treated wood and that it could have effected the wear of the steps.
*My motivation to do this project:
The extreme heat and morning dew severely effected these areas forming mold on the cedar shutters and posts and damaging the paint on the steps.
*Project Steps:
First, we sanded down the rough surface of the posts and shutters to smooth the rough original surface as well as sanded the steps to begin the process again. We washed down the banisters with water, the posts, shutters and steps with a wood prep. We then primed he front door, steps and banisters. With all surfaces ready, we repainted the steps, front door and banisters. The posts and shutters got renewed with a mildew proof stain.
Advice:
All the work made a huge difference in the appearance. The front looks brand new!
