bedroom make over

Repainting and decorating my daughter's bedroom.
*Options I considered for this project:
Painting it one solid color, adding different colors or faux painting.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
We decided to add stripes to the wall and the first way we tried the stripes were too small so we had to redo them. We choose to make each stripe larger. It was also hard to get them straight because the wall wasn't even across the top. this made it hard to get the tape to go on straight to make the stripes straight and even.
*My motivation to do this project:
Her room had not been painted in about 8 years and it was time for a change. She had out grown the old design.
*Project Steps:
We had to tape off the ceiling, adjoining walls and the baseboards since we were using different colors on the side walls, the ceiling and the baseborads.
Advice:
Do think it through carefully so that you don't end up repainting more than one time. Take your time when taping and make sure to measure the tape as you go at the top and bottom to make sure it is straight and even. Also don't let the paint dry before you remove it. Once it dries it may pull your paint off also.
Materials:
Paint - $120.00
Tape - $15.00
Paint Brushes - $35.00
