Building a raised garden bed to harvest vegatables.
* Cost Comments:
Already had nails and gardening tools used to weed and break up the dirt.
*My motivation to do this project:
To have fresh veggies for salads, zuchinni bread, and strawberries.
*Project Steps:
My husband took measurments on where we wanted to build the garden. He then bought wood to build a raised garden bed. We laided down the wood and anchored it into place with wood stakes and also used nailes to hold the wood together. I then weeded and chopped up the dirt inside the box. Meanwhile my husband went to get the top soil. We laid down the weed protective screen and filled it in with top soil. We made raised rows with the soil where i wanted to put the plants. I had been growing the seeds inside the house for a few months before planting them outside. We then platned to plants and watched it grow.
Advice:
Get it done in one day. Make sure you put it ina spot that gets a decent amount of sun but some shade durring the day. Check the trees around you and determine weather or not there will be alot of leaves to block sun.
