Easy Jar Pumpkins

I'm addicted to hoarding empty jars, but it's not exactly a bad thing. Why? Well, you can upcycle your old jars and turn them into cute holiday decorations for next to nothing! My kids and I made these pumpkin jars from spray paint, Sharpies and ribbon.
First, I spray painted three empy glass jars with paint. Turning them upside down first seems to work best.
After the paint dried, the kids helped by drawing faces on the pumpkins, with permanent markers. We also have a stash of Sharpie markers, but any brand will do. I love it when I can include the kids in the projects I do!
I added some green ribbon around the top, and the project was done! I use them to hold spoons, straws and pens, but you can use them for other things too. It's a nice way to decorate for Halloween without spending much money. You can see additional photos on the blog.
