Design & Décor Stairs

Creative high on the stairs

About a year ago, I decided our stairs looked drab. If I had the resources I would have Mexican tile, however, that is not in the funds right now. I decided stenciling would do the trick for now.

I decided to only do every other step. I used two colors and you can see the tut over at my place.

I did this around Valentines day so I dressed up the stairway with some hearts.

When all was said and done, it really did dress it up, on a small budget. Amazing what stenciling can do.

I totally know how you feel about the mexican tile. Love that look. And it would be awesome with your wood color. Stenciling IS much cheaper though....
