Headboard Turned Quilt Rack

It pretty much is a given now that when there is a birthday in my family, they're getting something "Brepurposed". And that was the case this month for my Mom's!
She wanted an old ladder to hang her quilts on, but when I went to the antique store down the street, I found something even better!

This old spindle headboard was calling my name and I knew it would be even better than a ladder.
I used some DecoArt paint in Smitten careful not to fill in all the grooves of the spindles.

Great job! i love the color and the burlap lace is perfect! I know Hometalk has sunk into me when I see this and think... cup hooks through the burlap side to hold kitchen tools and S hooks on the spindles to hold pots/pans. :)
