Origonal bathrooms (x3) were all covered in a mauve carpet "not a recomendation", no carpet in Bathrooms. We were commisioned to renovate in granite.
*My motivation to do this project:
I do this for a living and I love being creative and consulting with the potential clients
*Project Steps:
First off get the appropriate measurements not forgetting to account for waste ( at least 10%) over the actual measure. Next take your time and choose a contrasting color, one that not only blends well but also to keep in mind what other colors will "pop" using the color you choose, also keep in mind the amount of reflecton the color will bring in. We chose Black Galaxy
Advice:
Granite: use a color of thinset that if it were to bleed into the stone, it wont discolor the stone. Dropping the stone can break the crystals inside of it. When making your cuts use a new blade, make sure to have a shaving stone, it looks like a knife sharpening stone in white, use this to smooth the edges of your cuts. If you bought prebeveled Granite tile you will lose the bevel on any cut edges in which you will use the stone to put in a new bevel.
