Where can I find the value of an old quilt

Hubby says it belonged to grandmother & was displayed at New York World's Fair.
Like to know the value and if a museum or organization would want it.

    Check with a local quilt shop (NOT Joanns). They should know of an appraiser

    Maybe the Library ,Look for Kovalls for Anitques or Quilts in History books at the Library or Online, but if you have a picture of this Quilt that might help also ;)

    Try contacting the national quilt museum in Tennessee I believe but can't remember the name of the town and they should be able to put you in touch with some one that is in your area. Quilt appraisers are very knowledgeable about these old quilts and you want to deal with someone that is not going to try and take advantage of you so if the museum recommends them you are safe dealing with them.
