Moving Into BannockBurn 1878

I promised I would post an update when we moved into BannockBurn.
Well, this past weekend we did just that and it was quite an overwhelming experience.
Kent and I are over the moon excited to start our lives here. Nurturing this historic house and bringing her back to her former glory inside will be a lot of work but a joy as well!!
I hope you follow along on our adventures!
I have posted the whole story with many more photos on the blog if you are curious to see more.
I don't know if this has happened to any of you or not but I couldn't resist… I was already ripping down a hideous 80's wallpaper border a few hours after we got possession of the house... I really couldn't help myself!!
The living room...
The staircase with Emmitt inspecting his new house for the first time...

The kitchen has huge potential… but it needs a lot of work. Those ceilings are 10ft. high!

BTW, This is the border that I had to tear down right away!!
the front of the house...
The backyard looking over the fields...
The other side of the house has beautiful vines… unfortunately my better half is worried they will damage the masonry and wants to take them down.
