My BEST Moving Tip!

We had a lot of boxes...no really, I mean A LOT (beyond a lot)! I knew it would be a challenge to keep it all organized - even with the help of professional movers. A friend who recently moved used this simple and effective tip and I loved the idea so much so put it to good use for our move. tips
This little tip worked amazingly well for us. It was simple to see at a glance if each box was in the right room!
Other than the typical moving supplies: boxes and packing tape, you will need multiple colors of tape. I had a lot of colored and patterned Duct Tape from various projects and used that. You can use other tapes as well. Duct tape is not inexpensive but I have moved a few times now, and for me, anything that eases that unpacking and organization process is worth it!
All packed and ready to go to their new home!

I did the same thing using colored "dot" labels from the office supply store and a simple dot legend using paper and corresponding color markers. Moved 12,000 lbs of boxes & furniture cross country twice and everything landed in its place! Keep tthe coffee maker and coffee with you! LOL

@Dale Petrishe True, there are many ways to work this system...and especially true to keep the coffeemaker with you!

This is actually a very excellent idea! It would definitely help the removalists who have to bring the boxes into the new house also! But you have to be careful if you've rented the boxes because they may not approve of any embellishment on their stock.
