This is a small fireplace remodel for a past client for whom we replaced a kitchen backsplash for a few months ago (I will post those pics later). I decided to frame out the existing platform/hearth rather than demo. Removed the small mantel and surround. Completed project will sport a new mantel with surround, granite slab on top of the frame tiled with stacked stone.

I dab in alittle of this and that to keep me from getting bored when business is slow for the company. Thanks everyone (Tasha, Yamini, Imagery). Keep you posted as I go. Granite slab should be cut next week.

Used Custom Float Bedding Motar to fill voids around frame and to make a level base for granite slab
