    Since you have an oil stain...you might not have performed the Oil and lemon juice test prior to getting your granite... Or maybe it came already installed in your house. http://www.mygranitecare.com/granite-kitchen-counter-tops.html Some folks have had luck using hydrogen peroxide, others a poultice of baking soda and water. Best results come with a "pancake" made from Acetone and plaster of paris...this is a pretty intense project with some flammable materials...so try the easier route first.
  • I don't have much to comment on your question as the pro above seemed to have provided you with the BEST solution, however I noticed that the island seems to have been a good choice in your design. i also notice that you choose a black granite in contrast to your grey/white countertops.
