Create elegant gold trimmed jewelry boxes inexpensively and easy. They make great gifts as well as being a gorgeous addition to your home decor! Just a few supplies and some elbow grease is all that's needed. http://tinybitzofme.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-touch-of-gold.html
Tutorial on my blog: http://tinybitzofme.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-touch-of-gold.html

Use acrylic frames from craft store, gold/silver paint pens, screw & hinge and a stencil or vinyl cut-out from your silhouette.
I added polka dots to the bottom of these boxes to add some pizazz to the boxes. These were made as graduation gifts for my daughter's friends.
You can use smaller screws...I added clear plastic covers to these screws so they don't scratch anyone...cutting them down didn't work well FYI ;)
The oval shape was traced on with my gold paint pen....the monograms were cut from gold vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo machine. You can buy pre-made monograms on Etsy inexpensively if you don't own a cutting machine.
I made this one for myself and it sits in my living room...I love the bit of sparkle it gives the room. You could use a silver pen or different colored paint pens for lots of looks too!
