Painted Pumpkins in Purple & Black

Today I wanted to share some fun pumpkins painted purple and black that my daughter and I painted for her room. Her room is done in those colors and for $4 we were able to give her room a fun Halloween Vignette that was personalized to her. She loves black, kitty cats and music notes too.
If you'd like to see her full Purple and Black teen Bedroom you can see the post here.
So we took an old school style Orange Pumpkin that lights up and two Dollar Store Pumpkins and gave them a little makeover.
That big orange pumpkin on the right was $1.95 and you can find these at thrift stores all the time and paint them any color you want!
These Dollar Store pumpkins are fabulous to use and I have painted and done several things with them like Painted Topiaries here, My Fall Pumpkin Wreath here and our Rustic Fall Porch here.
She loves kitty cats and her and her bf have some fun cat and mouse knick names so we thought it would be fun to paint a cat n mouse on it.
I just had her draw a cat face on paper and then we traced it onto the pumpkin and painted 2-3 coats of craft paint on it.
For the musical notes she is taking guitar and piano right now and so I had her draw her favorite note on paper and then I did my best to copy that on the pumpkin with a sharpie.
It doesn't have to be perfect just personalized and meaningful right? It was fun painting and I always get some good relaxed conversation with her too.
