I've got to try this! Haven't been happy with 2 soap dispensers I've purchased for the kitchen sink.

Finally got around to doing this myself for my dish liquid. I used a pump from a shampoo bottle since they are bigger and haven't taken time to dress it up, but I really like it and hopefully it will make the dish liquid last a little longer as well.

Great idea Dee W !! I love that the mason jars hold so much soap I don't have to refill often.

I have to make these for my bathroom like pronto! The stainless-not-really-stainless-steel soap dispenser I bought at Target is all yucky and rusty. I'm thinking mason jars will be the perfect touch! Love the inspiration my friend!

Linda @ it all started with paint I've made 3 of these now and they're fabulous. The lid does get a little rusty near the base of the pump, but I just chuck the rusty one out and replace it with a new one. It works great!!

I love its uniqueness. I have one but quit using it because it rusted. I am sure painting the underside of the lid would have prevented that. I'll take it out & work on it to reuse.

Sharon Richardson Thank you! I just replace the lid when it starts rusting. Soap is so corrosive!!!

Love this idea. Looks so nice. I do a lot of canning so have plenty of jars and lids.

    Thanks, Anne.

Where do you get a pump that fits a mason jar?

You can buy pumps at craft stores, but you can also just reuse one off a hand lotion bottle or any other disposable plastic pump bottle. Just cut down the length of the "straw" to fit the jar you use.

You can use an old lotion or shampoo plastic pump. Thank You for this idea.
