Front Porch

I painted a harlequin pattern on the ceiling of my front porch. I thought it would add character and a little something unexpected.

I adore the punch of color that the harlequin pattern gives. So fun!

Stacy - wow!!! That is awesome. Did you feel like Michaelangelo before you got finished? I am a firm believer in making all SIX walls a part of your over all design decor. Did I say six - yes, because most people forget the ceiling and floor as a part of the color plan!! Taking it to the outside is a whole new level (ah hem - no pun) of decorating. It definitely makes a statement - BIG GOLD STAR for you!!!

#2. Yeah I coulda edited my above post BUT - sometimes when I try to edit on here things don't always work right! Anyway - YOU are a glutton for punishment!! I just went snooping around your blog - YOU are also the checker-board kitchen ceiling girl!! . . . . and the doors used as camoflouge in your back yard. Love the door knob towel holders too. Now it's alllll coming back to me!! Do those ceilings while you're young and it doesn't kill your neck!!

Love it, but just thinking about how you did that makes my neck hurt. I would give my chiropractor a lot of business if I tried something like that.

That' just fun!! So glad it was you and not I who painted it. What are you doing for your neck pain?

What fun! I would look forward to walking through the front door of a house with a porch ceiling like that, anticipating what was inside.

LOL @ Becky H. That would be my first thought. Then I'd realize how awesome it looked and that it would be well worth it. This coming from someone that has terrible neck pain almost daily.
