Farmhouse Cottage Kitchen

After months of long hard work I have completely remodeled my kitchen keeping the existing cabinets. They were originally a flat door, and I added a little trim to turn them into shaker styles. This is by far my favorite project to date and I had SO much fun with this transformation (despite a few tears during the process). Stop by and see the full reveal! : )

The first thing I knew I HAD to have were these butcher block counters. I absolute adore them!!!
I have such an eclectic style and I never really know which direction I'm headed until I get to the end. You will find little vintage/cottage/farmhouse style accents through my new kitchen.
An apron sink wasn't in the budget, so I decided on cast iron. I am very happy with it so far and it was exactly the look I was going for.
I have a love for old scales and this one just makes me happy all nestled above my fridge. I left the doors off so I would have a place to display some seasonal decor.
This is just a before shot to show you what I had to work with. It's amazing what a little paint and elbow grease can do!
