4 Steps to a Clean Kitchen in Just Minutes

We have to admit it, the kitchen is one area in our home which we love to keep clean. It's great I've found these hacks from A Lazy Girl!
1. Take a look around

Take stock of what you have where and what needs to be put away. Then start at one end and work your way around the kitchen on the counters. Just keep moving in a straight line, and don’t bounce back and forth, it wastes time and energy. You may want to split it up into 3 sections where you will spend 5 minutes (go ahead and use a timer if you need to).

2. Start with the Counter Space

You are probably going to find appliances, mail, empty containers, pantry items, etc. If you don’t use it daily, go ahead and put it away. Give appliances a quick wipe down and move any dirty dishes on the counter into the dishwasher.

Do the same with the sink area if you don’t use something everyday put it down below under the sink. It’s still easy to get and now you don’t have to look at it cluttering up your kitchen. Give the sink a quick wash.

3. Deal with Paperwork.

Grab the trash can or recycle bin and go for it, because paper clutter NEVER looks nice. Anything you need to keep can be placed in a drawer or better yet, in a pretty basket with a lid that you can store these items in. But make sure to go through it occasionally to throw out anything expired or that you simply don’t need anymore.

4. Organize the Misc.

If you still have more clutter than you might like tuck items away into a walk-in pantry. It can be the great place to store items that you need for cooking but don’t often use. I don’t have great pantry space so I had my husband set up shelves in the garage for appliances and food items that I don’t need every day. Move out any items that don’t belong in the kitchen and either quickly put them away or store in a box you can tuck out of site until you have more time (but don’t forget about it).
