DIY License Plate Map of USA

This is a fun project, but not an easy project! Now that's it up on the wall and looking pretty, I can safely say it was worth all the time it took to make. We love it. You need the right tools, a helper, and a lot of patience (and of course license plates) to create this one of kind wall art!

If the whole United States seems to be to much, you can also collect just a few from your home state. Make sure each is a different style/color, then put together in the shape of your state. I have seen this done for Texas and it was impressive too.

This is fabulous! It must have been "A LOT" of work and lots of time collecting all those states.

My mom bought a set of plates on ebay. She even bought a few specific separate plates to distribute color appropriately :) It's not a cheap or super easy project, but it's certainly a conversation starter!
