When a Fall Hydrangea Filled Mantel Goes Too Far..in a Good Way

It's a tradition. Every fall, I wait until the eleventh hour to prune the hydrangea bush.
But the kicker is, I need a place for ALL the fresh cuts. That's one big display... :)
So I bring you the over abundant 2014 version of my fall mantel. This is one time I really enjoy too much of something... what do you think?
Gotta love those tones fall hydrangeas bring! Here's how to make this look work for you!
Grab any bucket or old kettle you have. The more odds and sods in sizes the better. Then arrange them on your mantel. Don't forget to also go up!
Clip your fall hydrangeas when they are slightly crispy, then insert in the buckets of water and allow the water to evaporate. Instant dried mantel that will last until winter! Or longer. :)

Good idea, much better than spreading them all over the house, much more dramatic.
