Crutches into a Floor Lamp

I was challenged by one of the local TV personalities in my area to come up with something out of old crutches. How about a lamp? This now serves as a floor lamp in my guest room. It is now a conversation piece and I love that you can still tell it at one point was crutches. Check out the full tutorial here. http://www.infarrantlycreative.net/2012/01/...

This would look great in a doctor's office. Bet you could sell a lot of them! Extremely clever.

I just saw a pic of crutches being used for posts for trellis for peas. I actually have 3 crutches I was thinking about getting rid of as we pack up to move. Now I'll take them with me to use in the country.

I would have never in a million years thought of this! Now I'll be watching the curb for thrown out crutches. Thanks for the great idea!

Very cute. Good idea and nicely done. I've also seen a series of a variety of crutches used for a porch railing.
