How to test furniture to make sure the paint won't peel?

I painted veneer furniture with chalk paint. It turned out really nice. My only concern is how do I know that it won't peel later? I would hate for that to happen to the person who gets it. Do I need to give it time to cure just to be safe? I have already used a polyacrylic on it.

You have to use wax to 'set' chalk paint or it will just wash off. I use Annie Sloan paint and wax but you can use any you prefer. She does a natural wax or a dark wax which gives an aged look. You can probably look up how to use the wax on youtube if you are worried how to use it. xx Oops sorry just realised you have used polyacrylic on it, never done that I'm afraid but would think that would make it safe so the paint will stay on. Just remember the wax for next time.
