The purple seed pods are lovely as an autumn addition to bouquets.

Wondering where you live. I am in MI and planted this in a pot on my deck this year. It frizzled out after a short period and I don't know what I did.

I love it so much and this year mine just didn't do much. No pods at all setting on, so I doubt I will be able to harvest seeds this year.

Diane, we live in zone 6b in PA. & perhaps it simply wasn't happy in a pot. Lori, so disappointing! Eulalia & Kathy, if we become followers of each other, I can message our address.

Esther, I have lost track of how many 100 degree days we have had this summer. Still looking at 100 again today. Many things that usually thrive have failed to come through this summer. I know just how they feel!! There is just a limit to how much watering I can do.

Hyacinth bean vine has been offered by American nurserymen since the early 19th century, so I'd say it has proven its garden merit!

Ester, did you you receive my SASE for some seeds to be sent? I don't know when they dry so you can collect them. Just wondering when to expect them in the mail.
