Compost Bins Made From Pallets For FREE!

Our Two Bin Compost Bin System that we made and use non-stop at the farm was made entirely from left over pallets. The system works great for us - we keep one compost bin for fresh and "cooking" compost - the other bin holds our finished compost to use in our garden and landscape. You can read more about all of our recycle and re-purposed ideas that we have used at the farm by clinking the link to the rest of the post below.

That's an impressive compost system. You must have looked through a lot of pallets to find all those nice wide boards.

Douglas: Thank you - and we are very lucky - I had a source for some shipping creates and pallets that were 5' long and built perfect - I just ran them through the table saw and cleaned up the edges and it made this an easy project!

Do you happen to have a tutorial on how to do this? I'm alone and need to see - not the most creative person in the world - but I have pallets!!!

Ah! Yes. have done this one but with three bins. A master gardener helped create it at my community garden last year. It really works.

Marian - The three bin system is even better! I am thinking I need to add one more to ours - it gives you one more space to work with material that may be in between finished and starting!
