Any ideas on how I can decorate a serving tray with titles?

I want to apply broken tiles to the bottom of wooden serving tray but I don't know the best method of applying the tiles. Should I use an adhesive and if so what type? Would appreciate any suggestions you might give me.

I would try mosaic adhesive. It should be available at home improvement stores. I would love to see the finished project when you are done.
  • Personally I would use grouting on the bottom and press the tiles into it, then use a soft damp cloth to wipe away the excess as you go. Just work fairly quickly and decide how you want them arranged before laying them in! I also would love to see what you end up doing! :)

Thank you Jill and Hayley for your responses. I plan on starting this project soon and will have to decide which method I will use.

My all time favorite glue for doing mosaic work is Weldbond. You can get it at most hardware stores, Michael's and sometimes even Wal-Mart. Works great! Not for outside though.
