You need good seed. The Atlantic Giant variety, good soil, and some room .About 500-800 square feet per plant. I try to go as organic as possible with additional fertilizer. Watering form my pond seems to help.

Can you explain what the rain xchange basin is? Forgive my ignorance- is it the same as a rain barrel?

The rainxchange is the next step beyond the rain barrel... See http://www.rainexchange.com for more details. There are certified installers nation- wide ...»

Just imagine the impact if everyone was able to capture 500-1000+ gallons of rain water and be able to reuse it at a later date

Gem Ponds, I thought I had included or added everything possible for my pond and then I see your posting and am very impressed with the rainexchange.

I might add that fish pond water/poop is the secret to beautiful/healthy plants.
