How did you paint the glassware?

Hi Debbie - I painted the inside. Ive used a paintbrush and painted and I've also just poured paint inside a jar and swirled it around and poured the rest out. Both ways work really well.

Do you have to use a special kind of paint?

I love taking a plain, ugly vase and transforming it into something special like this!

Pam - craft paint will do it, I just use Dulux test posts mostly, but have used acrylic craft paint too. Your glass needs to be clean, free oily residue and dry. The only problems I've encountered during my glass painting obsession is if the bottle or vase has a really narrow neck, then the paint either doesnt dry or takes a really long time. Its so easy to do and as if you make a mistake or dont like it, you can easily rinse the paint off. Hope that helps .

Very creative and what a change the paint makes in plain old glassware.

I have some satin wall paint leftover, do you think that would work ?

Debbie - give it a try - use an old jar first and test it out. I'm pretty sure any paint will work. I just used the paint I had on hand from a test pot and it worked! Good luck xx
