With three boys and a husband who likes to play in the dirt (aka landscaper), I end up spending a lot of time in our small but pretty-darn-well-organized laundry room.
That's some more organizing going on here! I think that a Laundry room should be a pretty and organized place. After all, that's where we spend a lot of time, next to the kitchen..or at least I do !! LOL Awesome work.
What a pretty laundry room Tricia. I love the baskets and pails. So neat looking.
I'd like to know what type of hardware you used to turn your bifold door into "french" doors. I bought cafe door pivot hardware, but we've not done it yet because my hubby's not sure it's a good idea. I would love some help convincing him because I'm tired of it the bifold being off it's track. We have another bifold (on our pantry) but we've never had any trouble with it.
@ Becky: I changed our bifold door to a french style door 4 years ago and it has not given us any problems. You just gave me an idea for a post for my blog. How about I write a post on it and I will link back to you? That way you'll have pictures and a description on how to do it and you can convince the hubs that it's doable. :)
Dear Tricia, I simply love your laundry room, so well-chic-organized! By the way do you know some kind of remedy to remove nail lacquer from denim? Tnx
Becky, I'm working on the post on how to change a bifold door into a french style door today. It will be ready by tomorrow and I will post it on Hometalk for you!
I also want to replace our sliding bi-pass closet doors to "french" doors like you have and my hubby isn't sure it will work. The bedroom and master bathroom doors open into the respecctive rooms covering half of each closet so you have to close the room doors to access 1/2 of the closet. Installing swinging doors won't solve that problem but it will get rid of the sticking-in-the-tracks or jumping-off-the-tracks problems. The french doors look so much better than than the ugly hollow sliding doors. How did you attach them to the wall?
I just saw how you used the old hinges, Now to figure out how I would do something like that with drywall? Maybe take it down and frame it with 1 x 4? Humm You have me thinking this is a possibility.
I used a drill bit to make a couple of holes and screwed them into the wall. I attached you a picture below. Sure, I'd love a trip to New Jersey! Lol!
