.First let me thank all of you for your help last week. This week I painted my red accent wall the beige that is on all of the other walls in my kitchen, family room and dining room. I was all set to stencil a trellis pattern in brown (three shades darker than the beige and is the paint color in my entry way and living room) over the beige. I wasn't really liking the contrast between the brown and beige though. I wanted something a little calmer. Then I got an idea. I decided to sponge paint instead of stencil. I have sponge painted before and really loved the results but this time, not so much. So, now I am thinking I will go back to Plan A and use the trellis stencil, BUT I bought some new paint. I bought a sand colored paint that is one shed lighter than the brown. I will stencil the trellis with the beige. This gives me less contrast for the calmer feel I was going for. At least that is the plan!

You did a beautiful job on the sponge painting! You might try covering the glass cabinet fronts with a window film or curtain hung on the inside to simplify that space. Bring in a few substantial but simple white accents for the top of the cabinet. That might allow you to keep the wall painting that you've already done. Just working from a different perspective to achieve calm by eliminating details in that area.

I agree with Patina,it's to busy. I would get rid of baskets maybe replace with fake green plants and organize your cabinet. It's large so make it focal point buyers can imagine theirs, there. Also can you put false walls behind each shelf so eye is drawn away from wall? Same color scheme once empty only put in a few pieces that will pop. I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend you but I would paint over that wall if I bought house. I think you are forgetting a lot of people who are into a more modern look. Please everyone I understand she likes it and it's her home her choice so don't contact me she put it up for everyone to see and to comment I'm just expressing what would keep me from being interested in home to help, not hurt anyone.
