Even though the decor in the downstairs bedroom at our mountain cottage isn't 100% finished yet, it has come a long way from when we first bought the house.
Since the bedroom is a dark room to begin with, we painted the whole room white, but left the windows stained.
This is the photo of the downstairs bedroom when our mountain cottage was listed on the MLS. The room was very dark because the walls were covered in blue wallpaper, the trim was painted in a matching country blue and the windows were covered with frilly curtains and blue mini blinds.
The room will eventually have a queen bed, but for now a twin bed will suffice. Stop by my blog to see more photos of the nearly finished decor in the room.
The closet doors used to be stained dark. With the doors and the walls a bright white, the room looks so much bigger.
