Candaliere

Found a piece of sidelight molding in the trash and decided to add candles to it. I turned it into a candaliere (chandelier with candles) and it casts such beautiful soft light on our front porch in the evenings.

Kim, this is stunning! I've been looking for a candalier to buy. Maybe I should really just make my own. I'm inspired!

Courtney (creekline house) You could probably build a rectangle out of 1x2's and then do everything else the same as the tutorial. Just glue the joints and the attach L-brackets to the side that the candles will be attached so no one will see them. Go for it!

Does it take long to light all those candles? Do they get blown out when it is windy?

I would use the artificial flicker lights. The whole project is a great idea.

Mullan- only about 3 mintues and sometimes they get blown out but not often

Caretha- it is the molding that goes around the glass windows on the side of a door frame.
