pool cabana

After our new pool was installed my husband built me a pool cabana so I could sit in the shade and comfort while watching the little ones swim. We have since painted the outside a light grey the same as our house.

I know it is the end of summer in the US, but here in Australia we are just heading

into our hot season.

I just love it. Wish I had one. Of course, the pool would be nice too, since I live in FL, but I'd like the cabana even without the pool!!! :)

Looks perfectly cozy! How thoughtful of your hubby to do this for you, and I see he included power to the cabana for cold beverages. What more could one want?!

I love all the details inside...what are the panels made of? Are they outdoor ones? I want to put some by my pools and I worry about mildew...I do no have a cabana but I want a patio with the ceiling like your cabana...it mut be really nice on a rainy day to be inside there too! Enjoy it!

Now that's what I call love Deanne! I'm a shade lover too so I'd want one of these if we had a pool for the grands.

Becky H, where do you see power?

Becky, know what? I think you're right; I saw the (I guess it's a) cabinet at the end of the bench and thought it a mini-frig. My bad.

Thanks everyone, no there is no power.

It is very hot where we live in Australia so shade near the pool is a must!

Amanda, we actually, just used pine tongue and groove and painted it straight away.

Due to the humidity here we are prone to mildew but it has been fine and it has been up for 18mnths now, the rain doesn't seem to get in and the sun shines in on it during the morning.

Those cabinets do look like mini fridges Becky H. I didn't even notice that fact.

The cupboards hide extra towels etc. We did talk about putting a fridge up there but it is not that far from our BBQ entertaining area where there is a fridge anyway.

    You're welcome Becky.

Deanne, it's not such a bad thing to get a bit of exercise either right? You wouldn't want to lounge around all day, now would you? :^)
