Now cumin and chili powder or cayenne pepper is a new twist (at least to me). Must be part of that Louisana culture - LOL. I'll have to remember that the next time I fix sweet potatoes - which in reality are probably Yams in this part of the country!! Well enjoy yours, it sounds like you'll probably have enough to see you thru Thanksgiving!!

We bought frozen sweet potato fries before that were very spicy. I don't care for overly spicy food so I didn't personally care for them, but my hubby liked them. Next time I get some of the plain ones I'm going to try the way I make other frozen potatoes. I microwave them just enough to thaw them, then fry them in real butter on the cooktop. Nice and crisp on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside.
