Bathroom Makeover

Our bathroom was in need of a serious makeover! We wanted to create a space that resembled a spa-like atmosphere. So we purchased some new paint, wallpaper and hardware and got to work on creating a more relaxing bathroom.
As you can see the chartreuse color is a tad too bright...not very relaxing either.
We knew it was time to update the cookie cutter faucets and mirror too. They are not very spa-like!
First, we painted the walls with a color called Expressive Plum from the HGTV Home Collection by Sherwin Williams.
We decided to create a focal point with the wallpaper, so only added it to the main bathroom wall.
We even made our own shower curtains, because we wanted the bathroom to appear larger. So these shower curtains ended up being much longer than the average curtain.
After painting, wallpapering, making shower curtains and adding new hardware to the bathroom we are finally done!
The new colors have really calmed the bathroom down.
And our spa-like bathroom vision has really come to life!
