How do I get the farm house look on cabinets?

I want to paint my oak kitchen cabinets white, but want them to have a dark look in the corners and dings and bangs. How do I get this look?

I used an aging technique on my wood cabinets that I really liked. A bit labor intensive, but worth it. I sanded the surfaces and doors and primed all with white paint. Then I painted a dark color over the primer. I put a layer of minwax over all surfaces, a little more heavy on areas where it would naturally wear. Then I painted all with one coat of white paint. The darker color shaded the white and looked aged. I sanded lightly all the surfaces, a little more on areas of normal wear (corners and handle areas). I love the way it turned out and it still looks great 8 years later.

Do you have any pictures of what you want to do? Would be good to see what you want done so we can give the advice that you need. It's a bit thought to guess what you might like or not like at the moment.

Paint white over them and sand some of the paint off.
