I cannnot see my dogs sitting, they would be alll over the place. The only time they sleep is when I close the crate.

Very cute, but I can't rely on my pets to like built-ins. Cardboard boxes always seem to trump the special pillows and beds I buy for them.

Ace-Ang, the 3 bowls with the beadboard is on an island. The bowl end faces out towards the spacious eating area, not in towards the work center of the kitchen.

AK, if you were here in Florida I would ask you to make the pet friendly space on my patio/sunroom where we all hang out. Seems both of my dogs like some type of enclosure when resting. Better than resting behind the big plants.

Love the cut out space. My dogs and cats would love that. But, unfortunately, I live in a tiny house with a kitchen too small to add such a cool feature. Love the ideas, though! I actually had the beadboard insert with bowls pinned on my "home" board in Pinterest!
