Envelope Pillow Cover From a Sweater{sewing Only Two Seams!}

I love sweaters. Like, really love sweaters. Of course, I have to make room for new sweaters every so often by letting go of the old ones. This pillow project started with a really long chunky sweater that I'd had since the 90's!
I love how much texture sweater pillows add! I used this one in my fall decor. Sweaters come with fall so it just seemed right.
I wanted to minimize the amount of sewing so I used an insert that fit between the two side seams so I would only have to sew the top and the bottom. Laying it inside out, the two side panels are folded over each other in the back, overlapping to make an envelope cover. Then just two straight lines sewn on the top and bottom. Then turned it right side out and stuffed it with my insert.
I added this leather cording as a little something extra! Just ran it through the spaces in the knitting. It makes it a little more interesting and adds some more texture!
