Recycled dresser drawer into a storage box.
Found these dresser drawers out for garbage pickup. Stop! I have an idea! Picked them up.
Sanded and 2 coats of primer. In the background, I used 2 drawers and added a piece of wood in the middle of the drawers for shelves. Flipped one and stacked them. Great and easy book shelf!
Found a cute cat pattern and cut a lid for the drawer out of plywood. Sanded and sealed the lid like I did the drawer. Hand painted all of it with acrylic paints. Attached hinges for the lid. Cut of pieces of 2X2 posts and used those for legs.
With lid open. 2 coats of clear sealer painted on. Now it is ready for storing stuff. This one is for my cat and dogs toys.

Treasuredchaos.com on Jun 08, 2016This is great! I can see it full of legos with a large building board glued to the top! Or even with checkers board, etc. on top and storage for all the pieces with other art supplies...man. I need to find a drawer!
