Changing finish of interior paint

Needing some help: We have over a gallon of paint the color of our living room and main hall, so we don't want to waste. It is satin finish--not sure why we picked satin many years ago, but we did. Is there an additive we can use to cut most of the "shine" such as plaster of Paris? Doesn't have to be completely "flat"--eggshell would suffice. Suggestions for ratio?

@Chris aka monkey So you're saying (as I was thinking :-) ) that making the paint "chalk" paint will take the sheen away from the satin finish mixed in by Home Depot?
