Turning An Old Table Into An Ottoman

For the past few weeks I have been looking for an ottoman to replace my old table that had lots of stains and holes on it (trust me, this picture makes it look a lot better than it does in person). I found a lot of tutorials on how to turn an old table into an ottoman and I thought I'd give it a shot.
Following the directions of other bloggers, I gathered all the supplies. Foam, batting, spray adhesive, a utility knife, a staple gun, a yardstick and some really sturdy and cool looking blue and white zebra print fabric I got today at G Street Fabrics (25% off!)
The first thing I did was to create a foam "box" around the top of the table. After I took this picture, I re-glued all of the spots that didn't stick the first time.
After the foam, I added a layer of batting and stapled it to the bottom edge of the table top.
And voila! In less than 2 hours, I have a great ottoman!
I love how it turned out. Not perfect...I know...but better than before.
Here's how it looks in the great room.
I highly encourage you to try this. If I can do it...trust me anyone can!!!
