Tips for Extra Kitchen Storage

Storage 05.25.15
Old fruit and soda crates, shelving from repurposed wood planks and a garage sale pot rack added much needed storage to my kitchen. It's an inexpensive way to add storage and charm to any space. #storagesolutions #tips #crates #Love2Repurpose #KitchenStorage
  • Lots of room for hanging knives, spoons, measures, etc.
  • A fruit crate is a cute way to add a rustic touch and provide an extra shelf to boot!
  • Inexpensive open shelves from reclaimed wood and Ikea brackets work great in a skinny, awkward space
  • A little decorative element - an old 7-Up crate corrals a few pieces of pottery
  • Space over the fridge is underused and awkward to reach, an old crate and some decorative plates adds some charm.
  • Labels add some whimsy.
  • A buffet adds much needed storage and provides additional counter space. A kitchen cart serves as a microwave stand and shelves for cookbooks underneath.
  • A pot rack hung on the wall instead of overhead keeps knives, cutting boards, collander, pots, etc. off the counter. Add a task light for an industrial look!
