Donna, I think what I really need right now is Maine, not Alabama. Sounds heavenly. -
oh, that looks wonderful! -
I want to live in this wonderful sleeping porch.

How homey and inviting!! Is that an old fashioned weight in pic #3? The roundish wooden thing? Ellen, you're right, this does look like it's from Country Living - one of my favorite magazines!! -
A sleeping porch is such a luxury - yours is truly beautiful! -
Can I come over for a nap tomorrow? haha -
Nothing but sweet dreams to be had here! Wonderful! -
What a lovely spot Mary R. I wish our sleeping porch was that size. -
Wow, I am overwhelmed by all your lovely comments! Thanks everyone. Susan S. - The round wooden thing in picture #3 is an old buoy. Lobstermen would use them to mark their traps. -
You did a wonderful job! So beachy and restful! Love it. -
Oh my goodness...this is beautiful!! Those colors are stunning! You did a fantastic job! -
Thanks for clearing that up Mary! I saw some numbers on it and thought maybe it was part of some sort of weights used w/'a cable in a barn for something!! LOL - the things we dream up when we really don't know anything!!! It is a really neat BUOY!! -
I have tried for years to get my husband to make our back patio a sleeping porch to no avail! After seeing yours, I will never give up!!! -
Hey, my grandmother did! In Kansas during the sweltering summers, we would go up to the second floor and sleep in the screened in sleeping porch in cozy feather beds. The cool air of the night was so nice. It is one of my best childhood memories!

Your porch is beautiful. I would love it, but who wouldn't? I grew up sleeping on a day bed under the tree down by the lake in the summers, where I grew up..Very nicely decorated and the windows are perfect.. -
i have a screened in porch ,nice but i have table.chairs we sit out there several times, but bed would be my second choice -
You are amazing! I'm your newest fan and subscriber of your blog. -
Thank you so much Sally Lee by the Sea! -
This is awesome! The old farm house I used to live in had a sleeping porch with huge windows that flapped in the wind and leaked when it rained. But with 5 children in a 2 bedroom house I needed it for a bedroom and converted it.
