Shabby French Table - How to Paint, Distress and Transfer an Image
This Shabby French table is one of my favorite projects so far.
All summer me and Mr Dreamy had in mind to create a table for lovely dinners outside, we started working on it but never seemed to have enough time to finish it.
When we finally managed to do that, the fall and the bad weather settled in so we decided to use it inside as a working desk ... when in need :)
You can find on the blog all the steps - the table is painted with some amazing milk paint from General Finishes and distressed.
I then used an easy technique to transfer a beautiful French ephemera from The Graphics Fairy and really really really loved the final results :)

This came out beautifully. I know you will enjoy your table. I also like your fabric. I have a couple of questions: what kind of printer did you use, laser ink jet, toner? Also, when you finished the "scribbling on the back of the image, it seems the image was clearly visible on the table, although a little washed out. I am assuming you decided to paint over the words/image to sharpen the color? Thanks for sharing.

@Liliana Wells, thank you so much, I still love this table a lot and use it almost every day now :) I used a laser printer, but for this method of transferring the image any printer will do. After the scribble and after tracing the letters on the table, the image is not too visible, you only trace the contour and the shape of each letter and then fill them with paint.
